Vike Consulting AS, founded in 2021 by Bjørn Børre Vike, has a rich history in the oil industry. Bjørn Børre Vike's career began in 1990 as an able seaman on AHTS vessels, leading him to pursue maritime education at Stavanger Maritime School, which he completed in 1999. As he advanced through positions such as 2nd officer, Chief Officer, and Captain, he gained extensive experience in deep water installation procedures.
Throughout his career, Bjørn Børre Vike has mastered the use of A-Frames and offshore cranes for a variety of tasks, including flexi pipe installations, jumper connections, x-mas tree deployments, gas pipe recoveries, power cable repairs, suction anchor placements, STP buoy installations, ploughing operations, and well abandonment efforts.
In 2008, Bjørn Børre Vike transitioned to the role of Captain and later became a newbuild supervisor on one of the largest anchor handlers in the North Sea, solidifying his position as a highly skilled maritime professional with a profound understanding of offshore operations.

With a wealth of over two decades of experience in various offshore vessels, my specialization lies in standby, supply, anchor handling, and construction vessels. Throughout my career, I have successfully completed a diverse range of significant projects that have honed my expertise. Some of these projects include the installation of jumpers and X-mas trees at the Bonga Field in Nigeria, riser installation at the Åsgård field, and loading hose change-out at the Shihallion field west of Shetland.
Moreover, I have actively participated in projects such as flex jet and pipe recovery in Egypt, pile installation at Åsgård field, cable repair at Snøhvit field, boulder removal at Ormen Lange, and buoy installation in the Mediterranean Sea. Beyond these, my experience encompasses the installation of an STP buoy at Alvheim, trenching, and lay down of umbilicals at the Chriswick/Maria field, trenching operations in Shakalin, East Russia, and the installation of suction anchors at the Moho Bilondo field in West Africa and Torpedo anchor installation in Brazil.
Through my involvement in these varied projects, I have gained a comprehensive skill set that allows me to navigate the complexities of offshore operations with confidence and efficiency.
